FOOTBALL; THERE’S plenty at stake for Mossley tomorrow as they host Evo-Stik League rivals Harrogate Railway Athletic in the preliminary round of the prestigious FA Trophy competition.

The Lilywhites will be at full strength for the tie, which carries £2,000 prize money for the winners.

There is also a first round date at Darlington 1883 beckoning for whoever wins, with the away side guaranteed half the gate money.

Mossley joint-boss Peter Band said: “We’re looking forward to the Harrogate game. All the lads are bouncing after a good league win against New Mills on Tuesday. We’ve got everyone available again now and that makes a big difference.

“When we lost 2-0 at Harrogate a few weeks ago we didn’t have a proper back four due to injuries.

“I fancy us against them tomorrow. A win would give everyone another boost. The prize money on offer would come in handy too.”

CHADDERTON return to North-West Counties League First Division action tomorrow after last weekend’s shoot-out defeat against Eccleshall in the Men United Cup. They host fellow mid-table side Widnes. Both games kick-off at 3pm.
