SNOOKER: OLDHAM-based Hamza Akbar was beaten 6-2 by Walsall’s Mark Joyce in a qualifier for the International Championship.
The Asian Championship winner was on the wrong end of some excellent break-building from his opponent. Joyce made breaks of 133 and 96 as he registered a win which put him alongside Moorside’s Michael Wild and 62 others in the finals in China later this month.
