Halliwell break crucial

SNOOKER:
DEAF ‘C’ maintained their position at the top of the Hollands Pies Oldham Amateur Snooker League with a 4-2 victory over Royton Band which included a match-clinching break of 36 by K Halliwell in the final frame.
But they have been joined in the lead by Three Cs ‘A’ who recorded a 5-1 victory at Deaf ‘A’.
St Paul’s and North Chadderton ‘B’ recorded 4-0 victories to join Royton Band at the top of the cards section.
QUEEN St have joined Comrades ‘B’ in second spot in the Saw-Tech Shaw Snooker League after beating them 4-2. League leaders Comrades ‘A’ remained at the top even though they had an open date.
