East Lancs youngsters in good nick

SIX out of seven young East Lancs Road Club riders recorded personal-best times at the GHS Time Trial Championship - effectively the 10-mile national championship for riders aged 12-16.
The event was held on the F10/10 course near Hare in Hertfordshire, a fast track that sees the
riders head north on the outbound leg for five miles then returning
The first of the East Lancs representatives to go was Tom Bland, a 14 year old in his first GHS Final, who quickly got into his stride and delivered a personal-best time 32 minutes, 27 seconds.
The other six riders were Noah Codling (26m:20s); Josh Decamps (25:49); Oliver Makinson (25:20); Alex Wiseman (24:55); Alex Trippier (23:30) and Sam Walley (21:59).
The fastest of the East Lancs contingent – Sam Walley – took 16th place out of 131 riders - the highest-ever place for by an East Lancs rider
