TABLE TENNIS:
THE youngsters of Unison ‘E’ - with an average age of just 14 - continue to show they have what it takes to be crowned Division Four champions.
Their latest victory, an impressive 8-2 defeat of Uppermill ‘C’, saw 12-year-old Sophie Newton record her first maximum of the season.
Arguably the most sociable team in the league, Coldhurst ‘A’, sit top of Division Two following a 9-1 success over Honeywell ‘D’. Simon Walsh continued his fine summer league form with a hat-trick of wins.
Paul King is looking to repeat his 2013-14 feat of most victories for the season in Division One. King bagged a treble as new leaders Saddleworth ‘B’ swept aside Werneth ‘A’ 10-0. He now has 14 wins from 15 games.
