RUGBY: DESPITE finishing on the wrong end of a 48-16 scoreline, Hollinwood ARLFC never gave up in this Pennine League Division Three West clash against an experienced Worth Village side.
The hosts, from Keighley, raced into an early 10-point lead, but refusing to buckle, Hollinwood hit back with a try by star man Matty McCullough, converted by Luke Skilling.
Village added another converted effort, but the visitors had narrowed the gap to half a dozen points by half time, thanks to Michael Hall’s first try for the club.
Though the West Yorkshire outfit pulled clear in the second half, Hollinwood continued to offer a threat with Pete Davies, Phil Bell and Skilling going close on several occasions.
They were finally rewarded for their hard work with Ashley Dixon scoring a fine try, converted by Luke Skilling.
