MOSSLEY’S Evo-Stik League Division One North winning streak came to a shuddering halt with a disappointing 2-0 defeat at Clitheroe.
Heading into the game with five consecutive wins, the Lilywhites slipped to defeat courtesy of second-half strikes from Callum Hendry and sub Brandon Barski.
Mossley dropped a place to ninth in the league, but have a chance to bounce back quickly when they play host to Tameside rivals Droylsden tomorrow night.
CHADDERTON suffered on Saturday, losing 1-0 at home to Cheadle Town in their latest North-West Counties First Division clash.
The local outfit slipped to 11th place in the table after Richard Whyatt pounced to score the only goal of the game in the 89th minute. Chadderton are at home again tomorrow, when they host Northwich Manchester Villa (7.45pm).
