Tough trophy test in store for Lilywhites

FOOTBALL: AFTER a dramatic midweek clash, Mossley will be hoping tomorrow’s FA Trophy trip to Darlington 1883 passes without a hitch.
The Tuesday night meeting with Droylsden was held up for 15 minutes after referee Alan Clayton suffered a calf injury. Assistant Jack Nield claimed the whistle and the game continued with only one assistant ref. The Lilywhites went on to win 5-1 and now sit seventh in Evo-Stik League Division One North.
Mossley take a break from league action this weekend. They head to the North-East to face a Darlington side making great strides in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division. Darlington are second in the table, three points adrift of Blyth Spartans.
BEATEN 4-1 at home by Northwich Manchester Villa in midweek, Chadderton are on the comeback trail in North-West Counties League Division One tomorrow.
And the Andrew Street club will fancy their chances of picking up three points to reignite their push for the play-offs.
Chadderton visit third-bottom Atherton RL.
