Royton snap up Dogra as professional

ROYTON have signed India’s Paras Dogra (30) as their professional for the 2016 Pennine Cricket League season.
The right-hand batsman has been in sparkling form of late, scoring two double hundreds and a big century.
Representing Himachal Pradesh, he racked up 227 against Services at Dharamsala.
Previously, he had scored 209 against Tripura and 167 at the expense of Goa, both matches being played at Dharamsala.
Dogra also bowls leg breaks, but his record suggests his batting is his major strength
CROMPTON have re-signed Josh Tolley as their professional for next season.
The Glebe Street outfit, promoted from the now-defunct Lake Garage CLL’s Championship last season, will play alongside Royton in the top tier of the Pennine League in 2016.
Opening batsman Tolley was a pivotal player in Crompton’s success and it is no surprise to see the club retain his services.
THE last-ever CLL annual sidpresentation dinner was held at Rochdale Cricket Club.
Crompton was well represented, skipper Simon Wright receiving the Championship trophy and Mel Whittle the Clifford Pickup trophy for being the leading amateur wicket-taker in the league in 2015.
