Delph teenager a big hit for Lancs

TALENTED all-rounder Nathan Jones capped a brilliant year on the junior county circuit by being crowned Lancashire under-16s’ Player of the Year.
Jones (16), who also turns out for Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership side Delph’s first team, enjoyed a terrific 2015 with the Red Rose.
He took over the team captaincy after two matches, and went on to lead the side for the remainder of the season. In 11 games, Lancashire under-16s won seven and lost two, while two were rained off.
Jones racked up 349 runs with his best a 68 against Durham. He also took 22 wickets - his best six for 19 against Warwickshire.
