Deaf ‘A’ on cloud nine after whitewash win
Date published: 09 December 2015
DEAF ‘A’ were in scintillating form in the Hollands Pies Oldham Amateur Snooker League.
At the top of their game, they whitewashed Springbank 6-0 to climb to ninth in the table.
The summit meeting between Deaf ‘C’ and Blue Club ‘A’ finished honours even at 3-3.
Only five points separate the leading half-a-dozen sides in the standings.
While the top two teams shared the spoils, so did third-placed Blue Club ‘B’ at home to CBC, and Three Cs ‘A’, in fourth, had to settle for a draw at third-bottom Queensway.
North Chadd ‘B’ were in good form as they swept aside Royton Band 5-1.
St Paul’s remain the team to beat in the cards section. They hold a three-point lead after a 3-1 victory over North Chadd ‘A’.
