SNOOKER: AARON Davies confirmed his status as one of the country’s top young billiards players with victory in an English Tour event in King’s Lynn.
The 18-year-old Oldhamer brushed aside Aaron Hetherington (Hartlepool) in a one-hour final. In the semi final Davies beat his 13-year-old brother Ryan.
Both continue to impress at billiards and snooker, with Aaron still fresh from a recent 116 clearance for Royton Band ‘A’ in a Chadderton Snooker league match against Blue Club ‘A’.
Aaron has several snooker and pool tournaments to look forward to in the near future, while Ryan will be in snooker action this weekend in the Junior Premier Tour in Derbyshire.
