Band seeks response after five-goal hammering

NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY joint-boss Peter Band has promised changes for this weekend’s crunch Evo-Stik League derby double-header.
The Lilywhites head into Saturday’s home clash against high-flying Glossop and Monday’s duel at Dave Pace’s Droylsden on the back of a 5-0 thumping from Warrington Town last weekend.
That result ruined Band’s birthday celebrations, but he is coming out fighting. He said: “People say players should have no problem raising themselves for derby matches, but to be honest they should be up for every game at our level.
“Some of them weren’t at it at Warrington. It was a very disappointing day. “We pride ourselves on defending set-pieces, but at Warrington four of their five goals came from set-pieces. We were without a few players due to suspensions, but that’s no excuse.
“It’s pretty safe to say the lads we will have available again this weekend will come straight back into the starting line-up.
Glossop are enjoying a terrific season under ex-Lilywhites boss Chris Willcock. They are currently fourth in the table.
