WATERLOO stepped up their challenge to retain the Inbev Winter Bowling League Division One title with a 9-2 victory over Nimble Nook.

Leaders Springbank Dogs overcame Hopwood 7-4, clinching the aggregate by two points thanks to Martin Hodson’s 21-4 victory.

The other Division One fixture saw Springhead Rovers beat Vixens 8-4, while Division Two action provided wins for Dalemoor, Barbarians and Dogwood.
