Rifle firing on all cylinders

Only four Oldham Sunday League games survived the wintry blast last weekend.
In the Jack Abbott Premier Division, third-placed Rifle eased to a 3-0 victory at struggling Oldham GPO. Ryan Hobin, James Curley and Niall Sultan were on target.
There were goals galore in the only David Giblin Division One clash to survive, with leaders Manchester Swifts seeing off second-placed Springhead Libs 9-4. Daniel Goodier led the way with four goals for the Swifts, with Daniel Robson (two), Andrew Whitehouse (two) and Chris Roach also scoring.
Adam Smith, Daniel Gordon, Jamie Wilson and Kieron Bland replied.
Britannia crushed Oldham Lions 9-1 in Martin Buckley Division Two. Terrance Melia (three), Connor Kerrigan (two), Jordan Hall (two), Danny Pryce and Adam Ruddock registered for the Brit.
Top side Top House triumphed 6-1 at Horseshoe. Carl Caffrey (three), MattyCrothers (two) and Alex Caveney scored for House, while Daniel Jackson hit back for Horseshoe.
FC Failsworth were knocked out of the Manchester County Cup, 3-1 at FC Cons. Jonny Lambert scored for Failsworth.
