Casey nets Academy squad call

RUGBY: OLDHAM St Anne’s youngster Patrick Casey has been named in England Rugby League’s Academy squad ahead of its exciting 2016 programme.

The player is now on the books at Super League giants Wigan Warriors, and England Academy coach Andy Kelly has picked him for a 37-man squad for the 2016 schedule, which includes monthly training sessions, a home game against France in May and a month-long tour of Australia in July.

“The last Academy tour to Australia was four years ago, so it’s an exciting time to be involved,” said Kelly.
