Baptism of fire for Crow lads

Carrion Crow are currently one of only three teams in the Oldham Sunday League without a win so far this season.
It has certainly been a baptism of fire for the Huddersfield Road-based outfit since gaining promotion to the Jack Abbott Premier Division at the end of last season.
Seven league games in, Crow props up the top-flight table with four draws and three defeats, but manager Lee Harrison remains philosophical.
Harrison said: “Our aim was to finish at least fourth, but it has been a big leap for us. Three of our key players have had injuries.
“Anyone who has seen us play will tell you we aren’t a bottom of the table side. Some of the draws could easily have been turned into victories. It was always going to be hard for us, even with a fully-fit squad. Our aim now is to avoid relegation.”
