Mossley eyeing play-offs

THE race for the Evo-Stik League Division One North play-offs is hotting up, and Mossley are determined to be in the thick of it.
A victory at home against struggling Scarborough Athletic tomorrow could lift the Lilywhites to within goal difference of the top five.
Mossley joint-boss Peter Band said: “It’s close at the top and I think it’s going to stay that way.
“There’s play-off chasing teams in good form at present – like Farsley who have won 12 on the bounce – while Burscough are having a bit of a wobble. If we keep picking up positive results we’ll be up there.”
The Lilywhites will be hampered by injuries tomorrow. Front man Dougie Carroll went over on his ankle on Tuesday so will be unavailable, while Mike Fish and Dave Short are rated as doubtful.
AFTER their scheduled home fixture against Barnton was postponed in midweek, CHADDERTON will hope to get back to action tomorrow in the North-West Counties League First Division.
Chaddy face a potentially tricky test at Widnes, a side who are only above them in the table on goal difference.
