Boost for Chadderton
Date published: 08 February 2016
CHADDERTON defied the elements as they secured a morale-boosting 2-0 North-West Counties League First Division victory at wet and blustery Widnes.
Dillan O’Connor set the visitors on their way with an opening goal after 15 minutes, and Jason Done doubled Chaddy’s lead from the penalty spot three minutes before the interval.
Joint bosses Steve Patterson and Mark Cook saw their team jump to 12th place in the table. The pair will hope to build on their win when they head to Daisy Hill on Saturday.
MOSSLEY’S scheduled home Evo-Stik League Division One North clash against Scarborough Athletic was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
They are due to be at home again tomorrow night against Trafford in the Manchester Premier Cup semi-final.
