Ryan Davies: premier tour snooker place.
RISING star Ryan Davies has reached the finals of the England under-14s snooker tournament.
He booked his place with three 4-0 victories, the first two against Lewis Ullah and Connor Benzey.
In his semi-final victory against James Beavan, the teenager produced a tremendous break of 87.
Ryan will take on Portsmouth starlet Jamie Wilton in the final in May at a venue still to be decided.
And he could also be making an appearance in the under-16 and under-18 finals on the same weekend.
Ryan is in the last 16 of both events and faces more matches in the next few weeks.
OLDHAM professionals Michael Wild and Hamza Akbar will begin their Gdynia Open campaign in Poland on Friday. Moorside’s Wild takes on Romford’s Mark King, while Oldham Academy-based Hamza Akbar plays Mark Davis (Sussex).
