RUGBY: JACK Holden scored two first-half tries as Saddleworth Rangers beat Waterhead Warriors 18-10 in the first semi-final of the Napier Windows Standard Cup at Peach Road.
Josh Brown and Ben Whitehead also crossed for Rangers — the latter kicked a goal — while Ciaran Dean and Kieron Grennan went over for Waterhead.
Jamie Mayall improved Dean’s effort to put the hosts in front at 6-4 after half-an-hour.
The other last four tie, between home side Rochdale Mayfield and Oldham St Anne’s, is tonight (7.30pm).
