Attitude must be spot on, says Mossley boss

EVERY match counts for Mossley now as the race for the Evo-Stik League Division One North play-offs heats up.
The Lilywhites had been flying towards the top five until last weekend, when their eight-match unbeaten run was curtailed abruptly by a stunning 4-1 defeat at mid-table Bamber Bridge.
That leaves the local outfit four points shy of a play-off spot ahead of tomorrow’s home game against third-placed Spennymoor Town.
Lilywhites joint-boss Peter Band said: “When we scored first after two minutes at Bamber Bridge, I think some of our lads already thought they had won. The attitude wasn’t quite right and in the end we were on our first defeat since last year.
“Every game now is crucial for us. Every time we go out there we need that winning mentality.
“Spennymoor are a perfect case in point. We need to get the attitude right because they have won their last six games.”
Holding midfielder Kyle McGonigle returns to the Mossley squad tomorrow. He was unavailable for the trip to Bamber Bridge. Injury victim Caldon Henson will be assessed, but seems highly unlikely to be fit.
CHADDERTON return to North-West Counties League action tomorrow after bowing out of the Reusch First Division Cup at the last-eight stage in midweek.
A lengthy trip beckons, with Merseyside outfit Litherland REMYCA, who are flying high in the table, the hosts.
