RUGBY: BUOYED after an impressive opening-day success at Dewsbury Celtic, Paul Geener’s Saddleworth Rangers will look to follow up at home to Blackbrook tomorrow.
Geener couldn’t have asked for a better start to his reign at Shaw Hall Bank Road. With National Conference League points in the bag and a place in the Napier Windows Standard Cup final, all is rosy for the side.
Geener has a selection dilemma for this weekend’s Division Two clash. After missing the Celtic victory, the experienced foursome of Mick Diveney, Dale Lowe, Josh Brown and Matt Fogarty are all available for the visit of the St Helens outfit.
Spectators attending tomorrow’s game should be aware that Shaw Hall Bank Road will be closed to traffic from Uppermill and Greenfield due o resurfacing work.
AFTER a promising display in defeat against Rochdale Mayfield in the last four of the Standard Cup, Oldham St Anne’s get their NCL Division Three campaign under way this weekend. Sean Whitehead’s side are at home to Crosfields.
