All to play for in title pursuit
Date published: 30 March 2016
THERE is everything to play for with just three games remaining in the Hollands Pies Oldham Amateur Snooker League.
A point separates the top two teams, who both lost their most recent games. Martin Kennedy’s break of 31 limited the damage as second-placed North Chadd ‘B’ suffered a 4-2 reverse at the hands of Deaf ‘B’.
Leaders Deaf ‘C’ were unable to take advantage of their title rivals’ slip-up as they suffered the same fate at home to Nimble Nook.
With Royton Band beating high-flying St Paul’s 3-1 in the cards section, the Saints’ lead is down to only a couple of points. There are still a dozen points up for grabs before the end of the season.
