Rangers bid to extend fine start

IN a clash featuring two unbeaten teams, Saddleworth Rangers go to Leigh East in the Kingstone Press National Conference League tomorrow.
Tied on six points, Rangers are above their rivals on points difference.
Paul Geener’s Rangers side could not have asked for a more impressive opening. The Standard Cup is in the bag after beating Rochdale Mayfield in the final at Manor Park, while in Division Two they have won each of their three games.
Stanley Rangers were put to the sword most recently in a nine-try, 52-6 demolition job at Shaw Hall Bank Road.
Leigh’s start has been equally as eye-catching and they had little trouble in brushing aside Dewsbury Celtic 28-4 last weekend.
