King George ease into Trophy final

JACK Abbott Premier Division leaders Limeside King George are through to the Oldham Sunday League President’s Trophy final.
King George defeated Coppice United 5-2 to seal their passage. Jermaine Steele (two), Liam Cashmore, Wayne Berry and Tom Heap were on target. Yasir Ali and Shabir Ali replied for Coppice.
The quarter-final tie between Manchester Swifts and Oldham GPO went to penalties after the games ended 3-3. The Swifts won 3-2 in the shoot-out. Mike King (two) and Michael Wood had netted for the posties.
Martin Buckley Division Two leaders Top House stunned top-flight Fitton Hill 4-1 in the third round of the Challenge Cup.
Chris Ollerton (two), Carl Caffrey and Jordan Schofield scored for Top House, while Callum Franklin replied.
In Premier Division action, Crown edged out Carrion Crow 3-2 thanks to strikes from Jordan Knapman-Fields, Kyle Jackson and Danny Browne. Callum Beckett notched both goals for Carrion Crow.
High Crompton Victoria won 5-1 at Old Skool in David Giblin Division One. Anthony Jones (two), Nathan Beech, Jack Brocklehurst and Antony Duffy scored for the victors, while Ameri Karamat hit back for Old Skool.
Springhead Libs remain at the division’s summit following a 3-1 success at Royton Athletic.
Cameron Mason (two) and Andy Newton scored for the Libs, with Liam Siddall replying.
