Promotion party for Valley

SQUASH: FOR the first time in the club’s 41-year history, Tame Valley’s first team will be playing in Division One of the North-West Counties Squash League next season.

Valley gained automatic promotion from Division Two Central with a 4-1 win over their Capital Squash counterparts. Matt Walker, Gareth Evans, Amir Manouchehri and Jamie Maddox made sure of a night of celebration for the Greenfield club.

The seconds lost out on promotion from Division Four East by just three points, even though they won their final match of the season, sweeping aside Bury thirds 5-0.
