Saints face Panthers
Date published: 22 April 2016
EARLY mid-table rivals Oldham St Anne’s and Castleford Panthers meet at Higginshaw Road tomorrow.
Only one point separates fifth-placed Saints and Panthers in Division Three of Kingstone Press National Conference League.
They both head into the game in fine fettle, with this weekend’s hosts beating Gateshead Storm and the West Yorkshire outfit overcoming Eastmoor Dragons in their most recent outings.
Waterhead Warriors are also at home as they look for their first points of the season.
Dave Orwell’s side gave as good as they got against high-flying Crosfields last Saturday — they were beaten 28-12 after running in a couple of tries — and will hope to get the better of Eastmoor at Peach Road.
Saddleworth Rangers have stumbled of late with a couple of defeats in NCL Division Two, the latest by Hunslet Club Parkside when they shipped 50 points.
The Shaw Hall Bank Road team hit the road with trip to Wigan St Jude’s tomorrow.
