Sports Awards deadline looms large

LAST year’s winners at the Oldham Sports Awards.
THERE is still just enough time to enter this year’s Oldham Sports Awards.
Nominations close tomorrow, so to be in with a chance of scooping one of the coveted gongs, download an application form by visiting www.oldham.gov.uk/sports_award_nomination_form
The great and the good will turn out in force to celebrate another 12 months of sporting achievement at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on Friday, July 1.
In the year of the Rio Olympic Games, medal-winning gymnast Beth Tweddle will be the guest speaker.
The categories are —
Sports volunteer; young sports volunteer; coach of the year; unsung hero; sports club; sports achiever; disabled sports achiever; contribution to school sport; physical
activity recognition award.

The winners will fly the flag for Oldham in the Greater Manchester Sport Awards later in the year.
