Death of Ray Jones

THE local bowling fraternity are mourning the loss of Ray Jones, at the age of 77.
Ray played a huge part in the running of the Chadderton League for two decades. As well as serving on the executive committee, he also held the roles of match secretary and secretary.
A former player, Ray had an association with the Deaf Club.
STERLING
League chairman Peter Gartside said: "He was a nice guy, who did sterling work for the Chadderton League.
"It's people like Ray that are the lifeblood of local leagues. He will be sadly missed."
The funeral takes place at Oldham Crematorium on Friday (3.30pm).
