Alexandra Park in the mix for UK's top 10 favourite parks

The People's Choice vote to find the UK's top 10 favourite parks is now open and Alexandra Park in Oldham is in the mix.

Alexandra Park is a public park occupying 23 hectares in Glodwick. Opened in 1865, it was refurbished in 2004 and features a boating lake with boathouse, new fountains, paths and a conservatory.

To vote for the park visit the Green Flag Award website and use the map to find Alexandra Park and click the vote button.

Once you've voted, encourage others to get involved too.

The top 10 winning parks will be announced on 11 October.
