The 2200 (Oldham) Squadron - Royal Air Force Air Cadets is holding a presentation evening for young people who may be interested in joining the organisation.
Tracey Haughton, Senior Non Commissioned Officer of the Oldham RAF Air Cadet Squadron, said: “We will be holding a presentation evening for young people who may be interested in joining our organisation on Monday 29 January at 7:30pm.
“The RAF Air Cadets are a UK-wide Cadet Force, part of the RAF, with more than 40,000 members aged between 12 and 20 years.
“We are offering young people a hands-on experience of activities and courses that will challenge & develop their skills to help them succeed in whatever they want to do. These include:
- Sports (including football, athletics & swimming)
- First Aid (offering national qualifications)
- B-TEC (equivalent of extra GCSEs)
- Drill & Discipline
- Band
- Leadership & Teamwork
- Adventure Training (including the Duke of Edinburgh Award)
“We meet on Monday’s and Wednesday’s at 7.15 pm - 9.30pm at 40 Wellyhole Street, Lees, Oldham, OL4 3BB.
