A report on the findings collected from an engagement exercise carried out at the Emergency Department at Royal Oldham Hospital has been published.
A survey of 58 people who attended the Emergency Department and did not require admission to hospital was carried out by Healthwatch Oldham. More detailed follow up questionnaires were undertaken with 22 of the 58 surveyed.
The report details patient’s experiences in their own words, highlights areas of good practice and offers key recommendations for further development.
A spokesperson for Hleathwatch Oldham said: "Having the opportunity to work in partnership with the Pennine Acute Trust on this project enabled Healthwatch Oldham to enter a department within the hospital we had previously not accessed, and provided the department with immediate and relevant feedback whilst maintaining our role as the independent consumer voice."
