GMP release identity of man found dead on Tuesday in Coldhurst

Greater Manchester Police have released the identity of a man whose body was found in an Oldham street on Tuesday afternoon (February 13).
Officers confirmed the body of 43-year old Mukit Miah was discovered on St Hilda’s Drive.
An investigation is continuing into the circumstances surrounding Mukit’s death with police reporting at the time that they didn’t suspect it was suspicious.
The emergency services were called to St Hilda’s Drive at around 3pm on Tuesday afternoon after a local resident made the discovery.
A cordon was put in place while investigation work started, that cordon was lifted a few hours later.
