A man's body was found near Dovestone's Reservoir

A man's body was found at grounds near Dovestone's Reservoir yesterday (Sunday).

Police confirmed the man was found at the beauty spot on Saddleworth Moor around 10.50am.

Officers do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Members of the public reported seeing police cars and paramedics rushing to the scene yesterday morning.

Officers confirmed enquiries into how the man died were ongoing.

A GMP spokeswoman said: “Police were called at around 10.50am on Sunday, February 18 to reports that the body of a man had been found at Dovestones Reservoir.

“Enquiries into the man’s death are ongoing but it’s not thought at this time that there are any suspicious circumstances.”
