Dovestones body was missing Oldham man

The body of Bernard Gaunt has been indentified

The body of a missing man found on Dovestones Reservoir has now been formally identified.

At around 10.50am on Sunday, February 18, police were called to reports that the body of a man had been found at Dovestones Reservoir.

The man has now been formally identified as 51-year-old Bernard Gaunt and there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A file will be passed to the coroner.

Fifty-one-year-old Mr Gaunt was reported missing on Friday, January 26, from Werneth Hall Road and was last seen at Yeoman Hey Reservoir at 2.30pm the following day.
