Man charged following incident at Royal Oldham Hospital

Police have charged a 35-year old man in connection with an incident at the Royal Oldham Hospital on Thursday, March 29.
The man has been charged with a string of offences, including two counts of possession of bladed article, criminal damage and shoplifting.
Greater Manchester Police in Oldham posted the information on their Facebook page, adding that the man had been refused bail and was remanded in custody to appear at court on Saturday, March 31.
He has also been charged with an offence under section 127 of the Communication Act 1988 along with theft of a motor vehicle.
A Police Facebook post read: “He was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear at court, where hopefully he will be remanded to prison.
“In addition he has been bailed for a serious assault for further enquiries to be made before we can approach the Crown Prosecution Service for authority to charge.”
