Witnesses sought following Freehold Metrolink stop attack

Four teenagers have been charged in connection with the incident at Freehold Metrolink stop
Detectives investigating an attempted murder in Chadderton are keen to speak to tram passengers.
At 9.50pm on Thursday, March 8, police were called to Freehold Metrolink Stop on Block Lane, to reports that a man had been attacked by a group.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Four teenagers have been charged in connection with the incident.
Officers continue to appeal for information and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
In particular, they would like to speak to passengers on the Rochdale-bound tram which stopped at Freehold before the attack.
Those on the Oldham-bound tram, which stopped during the incident, are also urged to contact detectives.
