Three teenagers will go on trial in September accused of attempted murder after a man was attacked at the Freehold Metrolink stop.
The defendants, one aged 16 and two aged 15, all pleaded not guilty to the charge during a short hearing at Manchester Crown Court yesterday (Tuesday).
Their trial, which is set to last about two weeks, has been scheduled for Monday, September 24.
During the short hearing yesterday, the charges were read to the defendants.
Each spoke only to confirm their pleas, their dates of birth and their nationality.
All three defendants, who cannot be named for legal reasons, replied not guilty to a charge of attempted murder on the evening of March 8, this year.
Police launched an investigation after officers were called to Freehold station, to reports a man was attacked at about 9.30pm.
