Jacqueline Smith's body was discovered on Saturday
Tributes have been paid by the family of a woman who sadly died in Chadderton.
Shortly before 12.30pm on Saturday, May 26, police were called by the ambulance service to the concern for the welfare of a woman on Argyll Road.
Officers attended and found the body of a woman, who has since been formally identified as 55-year-old Jacqueline Smith.
The results of a Home Office Post Mortem examination were inconclusive, however.
Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding her death are ongoing.
A 48-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
Jacqueline’s family has paid tribute to her, saying: “We have lost our beautiful daughter, sister, aunty and best friend Jacqueline Smith.
“She always had a smile on her face and contagious laugh that made everyone smile.
“She has left a huge hole in our hearts that we will never replace.
“Our heart breaks knowing we will never see you again, but you will always be in our thoughts - sleep tight - from your family.”
