This morning (Tuesday) the father of the youngest victim of the Manchester Arena attack said that Government should do more to support victims of terror attacks.
Andrew Roussos, father of Saffie Roussos, aged eight, from Leyland, Lancashire, appeared on Good Morning Britain and also discussed his plans for a pop concert to help the victims of the Manchester attack.
Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, said: "I wholeheartedly support Andrew Roussos’s call for more Government support for victims of terrorism.
"The financial support that is currently available for victims is not sufficient and the Kerslake Report that I commissioned made specific recommendations to the Government around this.
“I hope that the music industry gets behind Andrew’s plans for an annual concert to celebrate the lives of all those who died in the Manchester Arena attack and raise money to support victims of terrorism.
"This concert is a fantastic chance bring people together once again and make the world stop and listen.”
Royton mums Lisa Lees and Alison Howe were among 22 people killed in the Manchester Arena attack, which took place on May 22, 2017.
