Ashton Road smash - man treated at hospital

A nasty collision took place on Ashton Road
A man was taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital with neck and spinal injuries after a two-car collision in Ashton Road, close to the junction with Park Road in Oldham, last night (Sunday).
The 31-year-old man was cut out of a 5-series BMW car by Oldham firefighters following the side-impact smash.
The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene before emergency services arrived.
Two other men in the BMW managed to get out of the car unaided.
