An Oldham man has been found guilty of murdering a woman who was found stabbed to death in a Manchester city centre apartment.
Michael Marler, of Brideoak Street, was convicted of murdering Danielle Richardson at Manchester Crown Square on Thursday.
The 24-year old’s body was found at a flat in Ancoats in February.
Police were called shortly after 7.40am on Tuesday 13 February to reports a man had jumped from a second storey flat window onto the roof of a stationary car on Swan Street.
Officers received a further report that a man fled on foot towards Thompson Street, before smashing the window of a black BMW and several other cars.
Police subsequently gained entry to a nearby flat and discovered the body of 24-year old Danielle from Oldham.
Marler will now be sentenced at a later date.
He had admitted killing Danielle, but denied murder – saying he had no recollection of what happened the day of the killing after he had taken crack cocaine.
On Thursday, a jury convicted the 37-year old of murder.
