Teenager stabbed in Chadderton

A teenage boy was stabbed during a disturbance in Chadderton last night (Tuesday).

Emergency services were called to reports of an altercation on Rochester Way shortly before 8.40pm.

The teenager was taken to hospital in an ambulance and treated for stab wounds, police have confirmed.

He is still in hospital.

Ambulance service bosses confirmed a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance attended.

Police have also confirmed the boy’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made and police are continuing to investigate.

Witnesses reported seeing a large police presence in the area late into Tuesday night.
