One man arrested on suspicion of sexual assault in Oldham

Police were called to Manchester Road near Frederick Street
It was shortly after 1.20am when officers were called to Henshaw Street after a man had alleged that he’d been sexually assaulted.
A short time later a 65-year old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault with officers saying he remains in custody for questioning.
In a statement to Revolution News, Greater Manchester Police confirmed: “Shortly after 1.20am this morning (Tuesday 28th August) police were called to Henshaw Street after a man had disclosed he’d been sexually assaulted.”
“A 65-year old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and remains in custody.”
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
