Teenager rushed to hospital after collision with car in Oldham

It was at around 3pm when the emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian on Manchester Road in Werneth.
When they arrived the found the boy had suffered injuries, although it’s not thought they were life-threatening.
Greater Manchester Police have confirmed to the Oldham Chronicle they are looking into the incident after the child was hit by a white Citroen Berlingo.
In a statement a spokesperson for the force said: “Police were called by the ambulance service at 3.12pm this afternoon (Thursday 30 August 2018) to a report of a collision between a van and a pedestrian on Manchester Road, Werneth.”
“Emergency services attended and found a boy had been in collision with a white Citroen Berlingo. “
“A boy, believed to be in his teens, was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.”
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
