Man 'critical' after being discovered with serious head injuries in Oldham

Police are continuing their investigations after a man was discovered with serious head injuries this morning (Thursday) at the Crossbank House block of flats in Oldham.
A statement from Greater Manchester Police read: "At around 3am on Thursday 6 September 2018, police were made aware by hospital staff that a man in his 40s had suffered serious head injuries.
"Following enquiries it was established that the man was discovered in the foyer of a block of flats off Manchester Street in Oldham.
"He is described as being a critical condition.
"A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and remains in custody for questioning.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
