Police were called to reports of a rape at a property on a road off Sackville Street
Police investigating after a woman was raped in Manchester City Centre have made an arrest.
Earlier yesterday (Sunday), police were called to reports of a rape at a property on a road off Sackville Street.
An 18-year-old woman was walking home with friends following a night out in the city centre when an unknown man is believed to have joined the group.
The group continued walking to the property and once inside the man raped her at around 2am.
Police have now arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of rape.
He remains in custody for questioning.
Police are continuing to appeal for information on the incident.
