Two men attacked after being carjacked near Alexandra Park

Police are investigating an incident in which two men were brutally attacked and carjacked by a group of teenagers close to Alexandra Park in Oldham.

The 18-year-old old victim and his friend were sat in a blue Toyota Yaris, in the car park of Alexandra Park, when a gang of five teenagers approached the vehicle.

They asked the victim if they could borrow his mobile phone, but the driver told the group he did not have credit.

One of the teenagers then took the keys out of the car ignition.

Three members of the group held the victim down while another the other two attacked him.

Both victims were punched and kicked in the face before the attackers drove off in the vehicle.

Greater Manchester Police were called to the scene and are working to trace the stolen car.

The vehicle is a blue Toyota Yaris 2003 model with the registration MT53 CUK.

A GMP spokesman confirmed they were alerted to the incident at 7.15pm on Friday and enquires are ongoing.

The five attackers have been described as aged 18 to 20-years-old, Asian and they were wearing white hooded tops.
