Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a total of three people died following a two-vehicle collision near Denbigh in north Wales.

Emergency services were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Graig Road between Denbigh and Trefnant just before 7:30pm involving a Vauxhall Corsa and a Vauxhall Antara.

Formal identification has now taken place and officers can confirm that the three who died have been named.

In a statement, Colin’s family have said: “Colin was loved by all his family and friends. He loved life, music and his designer clothes.

"He will be missed by all his family and friends and our lives will never be the same again without him.”

A 16-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Corsa was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd and has since been transferred to hospital in Aintree, Liverpool with serious injuries.

Sergeant Leigh Evans of the Roads Policing Unit said: “A thorough investigation into last night’s tragedy is ongoing in order that we can fully understand what happened.

“Our thoughts remain with the three families during this incredibly difficult time. All are being supported by specially-trained Family Liaison Officers.

“We have spoken to a number of people who present during the incident but we continue to appeal to anyone who we haven’t yet spoken with to get in touch.”
